Proton GE for playing startup video. Proton better & stable than native also for possible changing to half refresh rate setting.
Used GE-Proton8-32 when playing but latest one should works better. Played this game exclusively on steam deck LCD docked 1080p with max settings from beginning till end (109.5 hours). I only got 45-50 fps without vsync or full refresh rate. I got 70 fps when choosing half refresh rate on game setting, my monitor refresh rate is 100HZ which i should be only got 50 fps but for some reason it lot smoother than that, it's stutter at first but i fixed it by turning off and on my monitor.

Works out of the box if you want to, but i did lot tinkering for me personally for undervolt testing
I use this game as undervolt test with many benchmarks and from full battery to under 20% for MY LCD steam deck the best setting is -40mv cpu , -40mv gpu , -30mv soc (value can different because silicon lottery)
Jaginness and bit blurriness without FSR
I use this game as undervolt test with many benchmarks and from full battery to under 20% for MY LCD steam deck the best setting is -40mv cpu , -40mv gpu , -30mv soc (value can different each deck because silicon lottery), i also use cryoutilites recommended setting with 4GB UMA VRAM dedicated shared memory instead only 1GB.
After extensive testing on first town on the game with open area and bit crowded also running circle fountain on the game i can confirm GE-Proton8-27 performs better with usage 6.1GB ram and 3.9GB vram with 52-58 FPS on 1280x720 resolution with fill screen and with FSR scale 5 because for me the game got jagginess and bit bluriness ( in general FSR reduce 2-3 fps on any games instead normal resolution but the trade off is worth it), i also test using proton 7.0-6 the game using 6.0GB ram and 3.6GB vram and only got 45-54 FPS.
I tried other undervolt value -30mv cpu, -30mv gpu, -30mv soc the game using 6.1GB ram and 4.1GB vram, even with GE-Proton8-27 the frame dropped to 45-52 my suspect is because vram usage is a bit over dedicated 4GB VRAM, in conclusion GE-Proton8-27 is better in general and using more vram than 7.0-6 means better performance but without my first undervolt value the vram usage is 4.1GB, it can still works but for some reason the FPS dropped significantly.

I take back what i said, 7.0-6 clearly better with 12.5 low watt usage and around 63 celcius both gpu and cpu
Using proton 7.0-6 only uses 13 watt instead, 8.0-5 and other uses 23 watt.
48-54 fps on open area, but can reach 60 fps easily on more closed area. While other proton can reach 52-58 fps on open area but got 73 CPU and 83 GPU celcius, the fan louder too.
The GPU on this game for some reason stuck at max 1040 mhz wether dock or not, it ruin frame pacing and lower fps with/without FSR, i've tested on other games like kena: bridge of spirit GPU can reach 1600 mhz (max clock) easily. You can change to manual GPU clock and change it to 1200 mhz or 1600 mhz on docked.
Latest update FSR 2.2 really helps, i got 40-55 fps on FSR quality even when crowded horde ambush on steam deck LCD docked 1080p.
Change "MicrosoftEdgeWebview2Setup.exe" to "MicrosoftEdgeWebview2Setup.exe.bak" before launching the game on game directory so the game not installed it on game launch, even without it the game runs normally.
Go to properties > beta > temporary_launcher_workaround to bypass launcher, sometimes without this it's still bypass it but just to make sure because there is flickering when launcher appeared.
When played without docked
Micro stutters on Taal's Horn Keep (gathering hub) but less on match
After match done pretty often the game crashes especially on chaos waste game mode but progression always saved. Proton GE in general seems make this issue less happening.
The anti-cheat sometimes prevent you to access main menu, just simply restart and it's gonna run no problem as long you play as host, i found a trick for quickplay after you done 1 host match when there's people on party before they exit just go quickplay the match gonna start without matchmaking, pretty useful for XP bonus. You also can change quickplay search range to near on settings and try just go quickplay before custom game, the game sometimes not found players then it will create your own host with quickplay bonus. Upcoming versus mode uses dedicated server not P2P like adventure and chaos waste mode so it's always kick linux user.
Without dock it gonna reach 60 fps easily. Played this from 60 hours to 182 hours and got all achievement on steam deck LCD Make sure use DirectX 12 on launcher first time on desktop mode so you can use FSR 2.2

60 fps on 11 TDP outside city, on the city fps tanked quite a lot due to many npcs it can go to 40 fps, can achieve 60 fps on city with 15 TDP. Some mob battles do happen on city when there is lot NPCs
Using steamos 3.5 preview, cryoutilities, and 4GB UMA VRAM. Flawless port, The game graphics is greyish and have few particles generally so i lowered resolution to 1152x720 and turned on FSR to get image sharper.
No tinkering needed if you want, the game port optimized for steam deck to get longer battery life compared to other titles.

Using steamos 3.5 preview, cryoutilities, 4GB UMA VRAM. Flawless port, actually have 1280x800 resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio. I lowered to 1152x720 and turn on FSR to get sharper image, due to greyish graphics and little particles there is no downgrade turning on FSR.
