Tinker Steps:Switch to older version: 4.11-12
It only worked when I forced the use of Proton 4.11-13. From them on it was seamless.

Set compatibility to Force the use of specific compatibility tool -> Proton 7.0-1. Didn't try anything else. Didn't change anything else. It just worked from the get go.
