Had to change proton version to make the game not crash when I used my chromebook's touch screen. Otherwise flawless
When running proton experimental, the game crashed every time I used my Chromebook's touch screen, but that problem was fixed by changing to proton 5.0-10
Game works great right out of the box. The only reason I needed to do anything at all is because I am running on a chromebook, and that is already kinda unstable considering the OS was forced onto the laptop.
Even with the occational connection error, once you get into a lobby, the game is smooth sailing. Pun intended
Proximity chat doesn't work at all
Just miss the HDR, since this game has HDR support on windows. Of course this has nothing to do with proton, and everything to do with linux
The game would sometimes give a beard error about connection problems when joining or creating a server. Might have been the fact that the servers were having issues that day, but I had issues before others had.
It might take over your computer completely, but otherwise the game runs smoothly after some tweaking
The game completely took over the computer. No way to tab out, or interact with anything other than the game while it's running
If you try to tab out, the game might freak out
Some setup is needed:
Set compatibility to "force use Proton 5.0-10"
Install protontricks with pipx, not flatpak. Flatpak version did not work in terminal. github with instructions for pipx install: https://github.com/Matoking/protontricks
run "protontricks 244850 --force dotnet48" in terminal
