no tinkering necessary. the EA app starts, but I didn't have to log in on the steam deck.
local co-op runs wonderfully in 1280 x 800 on the TV with FSR. runs stable on medium details without anti-aliasing between 40-60 fps
Xbox controllers are recognized without any problems. I didn't have to change any settings. Runs perfectly out of the box. A perfect local co-op game. But should be played on a larger, external display in local co-op.
I installed the game through the Epic Store and Heroic. After the first launch and installation of the Rockstar Launcher, you need to copy/create a start.bat file in the installation folder where the EXE file is (https://pastebin.com/mv6JdQ1X) so that you can start the Rockstar Launcher without any error messages. Then you need to set it so that the BAT file is started instead of the EXE. The Rockstar Launcher will then start without any problems. Game works perfect with 45 FPS, FXAA+, low Shadow, High Texture.
The same works with GTA 3 and VC, you just need to point to the correct EXE in the BAT file.
TDP 10W
I installed the game with the heroic launcher and set proton GE 9-20. Without AA I have 60 fps at 10w tdp.
The game would be playable, but it is absolutely not optimized for the deck. Unfortunately, this great game is no fun on the deck.
I tried the suggestions from the other reports.
unfortunately runs very slowly at 30fps
