Works very well with Wine D3D9. D9VK gives out of memory errors. Need to remove/rename Launcher.exe and symlink Borderlands2.exe to Launcher.exe
Framerate drops every now and then compared to native.
As others of said, I needed to symlink BorderlandsGOTY.exe to Launcher.exe to start the game and change the framerate setting from smoothed to get rid of input lag
The game won't launch without the protontricks command. After that was resolved, it runs fine on my system.
protontricks --verbose 1715130 --force vcrun2019
To get DXVK working on I had to install the i386 versions of the mesa libs
Completed an entire play-through. Better frame rate than native. Some stutter when loading new levels.
Works fine with Proton 6.3-4
Only issue is window loses focus when the menu first loads. Also, when you exit you have to manually close Ubisoft Connect
Runs far better than the native version
Occasional flickering textures
Apart from occasional stutter when entering new areas this runs very nicely with DirectX 11 / DXVK. DirectX 12 has issues with gamma for me
The usual stutter due to shader compilation
Major texture corruption. Launching with PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command% +cvaradd g_fov 12 +com_skipIntroVideo 1 +image_anisotropy 16 +image_use +r_swapInterval 1 +jobs_numThreads 2 +vt_maxPPF 128 +g_fov 90 reduced it greatly. Game was playable after this.
