I recommend to choose Vulkan from the game launcher options. The frame rate and timing feel more smooth and stable.
After playing for several hours at a time the game starts to skip frames. This is fixed by restarting the game.
On latest Proton stable version (9), as well as on Experimental, the game dosen't start and gives an error that states that the GPU is not supported for listed reasons. However this issue is not present when launching the game with Proton Hotfix (Steam). Overall the game plays very well and doesn't have any significant problems running on Linux.
No problems whatsoever
The game runs perfect with the default Steam settings without tinkering.
Note: I always use Proton Experimental, not specifically for this title.
Game's build-in anti-cheat software prevents it from starting.
Tried several workarounds, that I found on various forums and boards, but none of them worked.
