needed protontricks to install uplay
To install uplay

Uplay was missing when the game got installed, needed to use protontricks for installing
in some places fires just look like a bunch of random pixels
there are rare occational lags
disabled left trackpad, it was getting in the way and causing accidental direction change
set frame limit to 60fps
rockstar launcher does not work out of the box. I own the game in epic, follow the guide in heroic wiki for rockstar games, it will work after that
Yes, if you want to follow the witcher lore, the story is pretty good, but the combat system is very unusual.

The game sometimes crashes, althogh very rarely. Happened to me once every few days
I installed from GOG using heroic launcher. Launch the game from desktop mode first. Running from gamemode will result in not installing all the necessary files. In that case, you'd need to reinstall the game, verify will not work.
