Overall a fine experience, although I experienced unplayable issues on Ubuntu where the launcher wouldn't start at all and I couldn't play the game. Lutris scripts, manual Wine usage, different proton versions, none of it worked. Once I switched to Linux Mint, game worked perfectly from there! Nobody experienced with EVE on Linux has been able to figure it out, but the game works fine now.
Sometimes breaks, unknown why, just hope you get lucky and don't need to switch distros to play the game :)
Slight mod to the in game radio stations.
No issues, other than my lack of driving skill, even works with a steering wheel!
Base game works completely fine, dumped ~30 hours on Linux without issues. MODDED with the file limit mod, the game is completely broken.
Modding the game, mostly with the File Limit Remover mod the issues crop up
Great for the base game, or even if you need to mod. But if you need the File Limit Remover mod you're probably out of luck.
It's Payday 3, what good can I say?
Issues are of the games balance and corporate descisions, not bugs or broken features from Proton!
Very stable, have yet to run into any issues so far. Seemingly a rarity, I didn't need to do the common tinker step on Linux Mint 21.3
Slightly unexpected to get only ~120 fps on a 3090 and 12900KF (On completely maxed out settings) on a game from 2019, though I suspect that for some reason my GPU isn't being fully used for some reason due to another issue which I haven't found yet.
Haven't tried the DLC yet, bugs may be more prevalent in the DLC than the base game.
