Provided you take the time to try settings until it works, this game works beautifully on Linux.
Chose Vulkan from the launcher. (instead of GLCore)
I had to switch to running with Proton instead of using the native build, and had to switch it to using Vulkan instead of GLCore - I suspect that may have something to do with me running a Vega 64. After doing that, however, it works beautifully - and was even playable while building Unreal Engine in the background!
It plays well enough that I played it about as long as I usually do, and didn't feel the need to reboot into Windows. Not perfect, but good.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
Turning quality down to High made it plenty playable.
Required turning off DXVK before it would run.
Nothing displayed
Installed and set it up with GloriousEggroll's Proton fork. Ran it; Origin installed as expected, but after that nothing showed up. Tried running it again and again with different Proton versions, enabling and disabling MangoHUD, messing with dxvk.conf... and never ended up getting anything to show up on the screen. Steam would say it was running, but no windows showed up, and Origin didn't even appear in the systray.
gamemoderun mangohud %command% -dx11
Runs slightly worse than on Windows, but dropping some of the settings and running it with "-dx11" let it run smoothly.
Sometimes crashed or exited to main menu when I died... otherwise, was quite stable.
