Full-screen issues with Proton 9.0-4 OOTB, but changing to either Proton Experimental or GE solved them.
Requires launch options to start properly
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Does not make progress unless "PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%" is used.
Intro video does not play. Hold ESC to skip.
Fullscreen toggling makes the game 'hang', req. force quit.
Fullscreen seems problematic even under GE.
The way I found to fix it is to start with "PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%". You can then make enough progress to toggle off fullscreen in Settings->Graphics.
Once you've managed to switch the game into windowed mode, you can exit and restart it without this workaround.
Process(es) launch, but I get no window, no sound.
Patch v1.0.1. Tried a multitude of workarounds; different versions of proton, different environment variables (PROTON_DISABLE_NVAPI, PROTON_USE_WINED3D, WINE_DO_NOT_CREATE_DXGI_DEVICE_MANAGER, etc)
Since nothing is output, the only option after the game 'launches' is to push the Stop button to kill the processes.
I can't see anything obviously wrong in the (very spammy) log.
The game launches on the Steam default Proton 9.0-4, but I experienced issues with fullscreen. Those seems fixed in later post-9.0 proton versions.
(My minor nit is that the game doesn't enumerate/offer a standard windowed resolution of 3840x2160, instead it has "native", which due to me running with 150% scaling likely ends up being 5120x2880 and not what I want.)
Works well OOTB (Proton 9.0-4)
I've been playing windowed by choice, so can't speak to any potential full-screen issues.
