Took me a while to figure out how to make it work with Wine in Lutris (without Steam and Proton)
Tinker Steps:Launcher: Lutris (wine), Custom Proton: wine-5.0-655-g2409bd1, protontricks

Lutris: changed game configuration - enable "System settings" > "Disable Lutris Runtime", otherwise the game will only launch if "System settings" > "Prefer system libraries" option is disabled (audio will be broken though)
Audio:Borked
Only with "Enable Lutris Runtime" option enabled
Graphics:Minor Artifacts
I used the Wine executable from Proton 5.0-10 and the GOG version of the game
