I noticed that there's a huge difference when you max out the graphical settings. I regret discovering this late in the game
Only proton 5.0-10 could start the game. However saving and hacking, both giving a new screen lasted 2 minutes to load. This disappeared completlyafter running the game once windowed. Those two options gave a speedboost. I got around 300 fps in fhd fullscreen wit those.
Fullscreen, hacking and saving very slow. In windowing everything instant and after that fullscreen ok.
In Neptune the third slicer was gone and I had to use a previous previous safe .
I recommed playing native without proton and the echopatch. (pcgamingwiki) It fixes the frequent despawning of bodies tiny hud and text.
I'm positve about running the game without proton and the echopatch. It only has one flaw for me It can't remap the keyboard layout to my arrow based setup. (technically I can but they all bind to the same (pause) ) key I can do remapping with proton and even use this configuration in native mode. However right control/shift key remapping aren't saved even with proton, you have to remap them everytime at the start of the game.
9.04 stutters , 7.06 not.
My dedicated graphic card is a nvidia rtx 2070 and that's one f.e.a.r ran on. Lovely game recommended.
