on Manjaro it won't run with default Steam (Runtime), you need to update it to Steam (Native) from the package manager; thanks a lot @口尚乳臭
The only problem was installing GloriousEggroll Proton which was easy and is nicely supported by Steam.
Alt-Tab and going back mutes sound, have to do it again and it works fine.
The game has crashed twice for me, once after returning it was freezing and I had to lower graphics options (despite working seamlessly for several hours before and not changing location for anything more demanding). However, it may be something with my system, I've started using it couple of days ago (my first Linux) and I've experienced one crash since during non-gaming usage.
I've played 90 hours with my friend and it worked fine. After some update (in December 2020) it suddenly stopped working.
One issue is with inventory as described with @Diego Vardas below. Other is that sometimes game stops loading when I try to join my friend. Other times all NPCs are level 1 and game breaks once fight is initiated.
The game never finishes loading, installing dlls doesn't help
Launched it using Lutris with Wine 5.9
