No changes made. With the Steam compatibility layer on, Age of Mythology runs as if it was out of the box. Hit install, hit play, and your in.
With forced proton layer, I was able to contiune my saved progress back when I was on Windows
Launched great out of the box without any issue. However, If you want to play mulitplayer with Windows users, I had to force proton experimental. By doing this I was able to connect to mulitplayer invites and it synced my old saves back when I played on Windows as well.
Works out of the box, doesn't matter who you play with or what system they're on. No need for proton layer.
No issues when playing native on Linux. I tried to force proton but I was unable to accept a invite to join a game. Playing native allowed me to play muliplayer with a friend on a Windows system. Hosting or guest worked out of the box.
