Unplayable for me
Framerate is just terrible. Changing the settings seems to do absolutely nothing and I don't think my hardware should have this much trouble with this game. I did see some posts complaining about the DRM slowing the game down a lot (for Windows as well) but they are old reports and It doesn't seem to be a problem for most people nowadays. No idea if this is just a "me" problem.
Ran Native for 99% of the game then switched to proton
Only a couple of instances of light artifacts
Weird slowdown in a couple of places but it fixed itself after a few seconds
about 3-4 crashes during the entire playthrough
Subtitles for the final boss don't work on native
Native worked fine for most of the game until the very last phase of the final boss where it kept crashing. Had to switch to Proton to play the last 3 minutes of the game. I only encountered 2 instances of the light artifacts mentioned in other reports and a couple instances of unexpected slowness that fixed itself after a bit.
Works fine with occasional crashes
Final cutscene just has black objects
Ocassionally hangs at startup and during gameplay and have to kill it
Save frequently, crashes are not that common and unsure if it is a problem on Linux only. Last cutscene is either not rendered properly or it is a VERY weird cutscene.
PROTON_SET_GAME_DRIVE=1 %command%
Will try and fail to download update
Use the command "PROTON_SET_GAME_DRIVE=1 %command%" or the game will think you don't have enough space.
Slight stuttering issues but otherwise good
Stuttering
Stuttering can be slightly annoying, starts out almost unnoticeable but gets worse the more complex the scenes in the later parts of the game. Probably not a hardware issue considering how low the requirements are.
I used the terminal commands described in a previous report
I used the terminal commands described in a previous report. Game ran fine for the most part. I did have the "wallpaper" issue, which is kind of a bummer but I guess it's hard to account for every DE and it does break immersion a bit (you can still just go to the game files and go into the "wallpaper" directory yourself if it happens to you, and you'll know when it's supposed to happen). You will have to run an exe at some point but it ran fine under wine for me.
Game ran perfectly, no issues with video backgrounds either even without installing wmp11 (I have installed it with other games with winetricks, unsure if it works for other games if you do this since every guide tells you to use the game ID when installing)
Just works
Unsure about the issue reported before with invisible MC, mine was just fine (maybe forgot to get the DLC? probably not worth trying to play without it). As for language support, it does support English but you have to navigate a Chinese menu to change the language.
Works fine
The glitchy animations on the menu are there on Windows too so I think it's intended.
Cannot get the protontricks stuff to work
I am not savvy enough to understand how to change a wineprefix even after hours of trying to get it to work. Game won't even start with default proton and just black screen with GE
Works Fine
Achievements
Achievements won't register and it seems the lovense integration is not supported for Linux
