i first of all followed this guide to get it running: https://pastebin.com/raw/2s1muz1v and then installed fusionfix
social club was definitely the most infuriating part it took a lot of tinkering to get it to install, and to get it to actually launch the game
oh and the guide by linkjay actually made the game run
in the end i got it all running properly tho
on first boot using proton, the dialog font appears to be missing the letters "v" and "y". on second boot the dialog font dissapears completely
on wine, movies don't work. had to turn them off in the settings
i had to add the game on heroic, and launch it using my system's wine in order for the fonts to display properly https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/8269 i doubt it will ever be fixed as the issue is quite old
