I did attempt to add the direct executeable in the launch options and that did not work.
Launching in Desktop Mode showed me the error that it couldn't find the 2kLauncher executeable (which doesn't exist, I did not delete it) despite specifying the Bioshock 2 Remaster executeable directly. .
This games run beautifully on medium. Getting a SOLID 30-40 FPS in the open world, and was getting consistent 60 running through hogwarts and smaller areas/dungeons.
I am currently using Steam OS 3.5 via the preview channel.
I lowered the Steam Decks frame rate to 50 fps and disabled the in game 30 FPS limit. Also set all details to High instead of Ultra.
When I had installed this game the first time it wouldn't even launch to main menu. Make sure you set the Proton version to GE-Proton7-30 BEFORE installing, not sure if that is what had solved my issue.
At first it hadn't worked at all, after setting proton to GE and reinstalling worked with 0 issues. Runs fantastic.
