Playing the GOG version. Fans spin up to the point that they're very noisy and the game uses a lot of power for no immediately discernible reason. tinkered with fps caps and different wine/proton versions, launching via Heroic and straight through Steam, nothing seemed to do the trick. Limited TDP to <10 and it sorted it out without noticeable performance hit so far.
Very occasional missing textures, usually fixed on restarting the game.
A few times character/NPC models would spin rapidly. Usually fixed with a restart.
Most of the game plays well, and the startup/intro videos load fine, but there are a few mid- to late-game FMV sequences that hardlocked the game. These FMVs do not appear in the 'movies' folder in the game files. With much tinkering I was able to get one to play upside down and slowly, but the end of game FMV sequence would not play. I ended up having to stream the game from Windows in order to complete the ending.
