Occasional lighting bugs, a mesh will flicker white for a frame or so.
Average FPS is fine, but when loading new areas there's a tendency for the game to stutter for maybe 0.25-0.5 of a second. In most games I wouldn't care, but you're entering new areas all the time in this game, and it will throw off my rhythm a bit.
It seemed to take about 3x as long as I'd expect to get to a main menu when the game launched. If it seems to freeze on a black screen on startup, give it a minute or so.
gamescope --nested-width 2560 --nested-height 1440 "%command%
Occasional flickering to black in sections of the screen, but only when I lowered graphical settings to "Low"
The game would frequently crash during level ups or loading screens. From watching nvidia-smi
I think it was related to high VRAM use but I can't be sure of that. Lowering graphical settings seemed to make these less frequent.
Multiplayer worked fine. Still crashed but I see those crashes in single player as well.
This was all done with the "Vulkan" renderer. When I tried using DirectX, it would crash immediately.
The game seemed to hammer a single core pretty bad, I would see most cores at around 70C while a single core would stay upwards of 95C most of the time.
I think the gamescope
wrapping was only necessary because of my window manager, I'm running Hyprland. You might be able to get away without it.
Couldn't get more than ~24 fps
I tried hosting a multiplayer game, but it got stuck in an infinite loading screen. It looks like some people are getting this bug on windows though, so it might not be proton's fault.
