Game "loads" somewhat, but hard-crashes when starting to play an Audio-Video file. Failure in the Media Foundation implementation is the likely culprit.
The Gacha goes all the way to launching the game itself. This will NOT play on standard Linux for technical reasons, and even on Steam Deck, there is a straight-up randomness applying to whether the anti-cheat will allow a specific Deck to play the game. It's extremely weird.
No issues whatsoever playing locally; some oddities using Steam Link over Android, but with my system being what it is, it's par for the course.
Wuthering Waves is incompatible with Proton / WINE at this point.
Absent explicit developer support, this game DOES NOT WORK RELIABLY, if at all, on Linux and SteamOS as of March 21st, 2025.
At this time, this game uses Tencent ACE, an anti-cheat solution known to be non-functional on most Linux-based environments, with only a few exceptions that themselves are known to be at best unreliable.
