Took a while to get the game to work. Some proton versions didnt launch at all. Some crashed during the loading screen. I had to switch to my Intel graphics chip rather than my NVidia graphics card, that got me into the title screen. Starting a new game would crash for all proton versions above 5.0-10, but that one worked for me.

I also moved Steam Linux Runtime - Soldier to the second drive where I install my games. I dont know if that affected anything.
