After applying the necessary steps the game launches, in fact more mods work on Linux than on Windows, however very few files are missing. For example an addon doesn't play audio, a map's skybox has the bottom half as black, a weapon is missing texture, you get the point. Either way I'd say 99% of stuff works and it's really fun
Crashes before even appearing if launched without Proton. Despite me using a custom Proton version (proton-cachyos) default Proton Hotfix also works perfect.
-vulkan -novid
Without any tweaks the game will crash during the chamber 0 intro cutscene. the game does not crash in other places and this can be easily fixed by adding -vulkan in the launch options.
Also added -novid to skip the intro video.
works great, can be improved with configs
i recommend using a custom hud and mastercomfig
-novid -nojoy -nosteamcontroller -nohltv -particles 1
Using DarHUD and mastercomfig
Depending on the HUD a font may be a bit misaligned/mismatched
Everything works
If you're using a custom HUD you need to rename every file in the HUD's folder to not have any uppercase letters. Weird but without this either the hud will be broken or fonts will be missing.
works perfect
ironically on windows full screen mode it forces 4k30fps, on linux it forces 4k60fps. so linux is actually a better experience
Works smoother than on Windows
My save files randomly reset but this could be Steam Cloud jankiness
For some reason when this game is set to full screen Windows makes it 4k60hz (30FPS) while Linux uncaps the frame rate. So it actually runs smoother and better on Linux, especially noticable on good monitors.
