It works as well as ark does which means it will crash and be buggy as hell sometimes but its the same on windows as it is on linux
The native linux port seems to be missing some textures compared to when I use proton mostly grass and bushes
Runs well with a slight drop in performance compared to on windows, the game wouldn't launch without using "PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%" in the launch options on steam but after that it has been working fine
Run this command in game folder, mv ./bin ./bin.bak && ln -s DefEd/bin bin && cd bin && mv ./SupportTool.exe ./SupportTool.bak && ln -s EoCApp.exe SupportTool.exe
I have played for just about 3 hours so far and It was fine hasnt crashed or done anything weird so far works great/
Proton-5.9-GE-2-MF GloriousEggroll
Dowload the newest glorious eggroll proton from here https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases then move it into /home/.steam/root/compatabilitytools.d then in steam right click sea of thieves, click proporties, check the box to force the use of a specific version of proton and select Proton-5.9-GE-2-MF the restart steam and you should be up and running
after about an 1.5-2 hours the game will start to stutter when you look around but everything else will be smooth the only way I could fix this was to exit to my desktop and restart it
you will have worse fps compared to windows
pvp and pve all work from what I've seen so far after 80 hours should just install and be good to play
Close the Bethesda game launcher after you launch the game or you will most likely get some performance issues down the road
