No need to do anything else. Works flawlessly out of the box.
One thing to note is that you may need to turn off Steam Input for an Xbox controller if it isn't working since the game supports the controller by default. Reboot the game if you run into this issue and you should be fine. Tried this wired with a USB cable so it is unknown if Bluetooth or the Xbox Wireless Adapter will solve this issue without disabling Steam Input.
Not running on any Proton
Tried both the various versions of Proton from Valve and from Glorious Eggroll. Also tried Experimental and nothing really works. You can get to the title screen and click on new Game but it stays stuck on that initial loading screen until the system asks you to Force Quit. Unless there's a specific version of Proton that really runs this well, consider this Borked for now.
Stops at Loading Screen
Game fill up a little bit of the loading bar before the music starts to play. Doesn't progress further than that.
The game will take a while to load initially since it needs to install EGS services for multiplayer. Despite that and Easy Anti Cheat present, online play is just fine. Game works completely as expected though Nvidia users are still going to be waiting for Gamescope support in order to get HDR activated in-game.
Overall, the game works fine without any tweaks. One thing to note is that on Steam Deck, the game uses the touch screen only for navigation through the title screen, main menu, and stats screen that appears in-between quarters. gameplay and team/player selection is unaffected by this.
Even though the game has a 1280x800 option, it doesn't necessarily display in 16:9. Text is large but the end of the screen get cut off so things like score and other menu/description items aren't seen completely.
