Couldn't run any better.
Brink runs exactly as how Brink should run. No frame rate issues, no lag in multiplayer games, no issues at all. Runs even better on Linux than what it does on Windows 10. Only downside to it is that multiplayer is somewhat dead. And if you're playing this alone, you're gonna have a really hard time finding others to play with. You might be lucky and find one person in a multiplayer game, which only ever happens once in a blue moon. Still, there's a campaign you can play which is somewhat short and repetitive but still fun.
PROTON_VERSION='Proton 7.0' protontricks 962130 -q dotnet40
The game wouldn't get past the first loading screen, but installing Microsoft's .NET Framework 4.0 fixed it.
Proton 7.0 seemed like the best version to use for installing it since the older versions gave errors.
- Download and run the game just as normal
- Wait until the spinning loading icon freezes
- Alt + Tab and end the process through Steam
- Run the protontricks command mentioned above and wait for it to install
- For logging into Xbox Live, I followed this video and it worked great: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjpNhiv9_FY
Thanks to Minux for pointing me to the GitHub issue, and thanks to StarAurryon for coming up with a fix.

Crashes on the first loading screen.
Game will install just fine but getting into the main menu isn't possible. When launching the game it gets to a loading screen, of which it will crash on.
LD_PRELOAD="" PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60 DXVK_HUD=compiler %command%
I compiled and set up a custom DXVK with a patch that disables the VK_KHR_present_wait extension. However, it did not fix the issue.
The game freezes after a few games.
The game is playable from start to finish, but you might experience issues when grabbing onto ledges.
Everything about the game runs fine apart from jumping up onto ledges and the like. Your character disappears from the screen and you won't be able to move. Pressing esc won't bring up the menu and the only fix for it is to quick-load a saved game. The only exception in which this doesn't occur is if the ledge is flat but it may still happen, though being rare.
