Game works fine just as it does on windows, only manually turning off multithreaded optimization is needed.

Tinker Steps:Switch to experimental, Set launch options
__GL_THREADED_OPTIMIZATIONS=0 %command%

Very playable, although it might be worth turning off vsync if running on x11
