New accounts may run into issues with the tutorial videos not playing on stock Proton. You can either remove those videos (detailed in other comments) or just play the tutorial on mobile.
It doesn't seem to work with my Windows cloud save.
To get the opening video to install you need mf-install for media codecs and protontricks install wmp9 quartz devenum.
To fix audio crackling you need to configure Pulse daemon.conf with:
default-fragments = 3
default-fragment-size-msec = 5
(Addtl note: In GloriousEggroll Proton audio seemed to get lost after the intro cutscene, still unsure why but recommend to use Valve Proton with mf-install for now)
