The screen becomes covered by the SMPTE colour bars when the MCS (Melty Clown Studio) splashscreen plays. This will only occur before the main menu appears so it shouldn't affect your experience.

It's worth noting that whilst not having achivements, the itch.io release of this game (https://melty-clown-studio.itch.io/bonnies-bakery-fresh-ingredients) does have a native GNU/Linux version.
