Game works perfectly out of the box (even with M+KB). No tinkering needed.
If you use a mouse & keyboard to play this game, it will work just fine. I have not tried using any controllers, even though the game is intended to be played with one. You might need additional tinkering if you want to use a controller, but the mouse and keyboard experience has been nearly perfect. The only issue is that I haven't figured out to reach all the taunts/emotes from the taunt/emote menu with the keyboard.
This game is fun and easy to run on Linux, I used it test if my PC was in working order.
Must run using OpenGL in the window that opens when you click "Play", as the other option crashes the PC. Otherwise, works out of the (orange) box!
No problems encountered. Has all of the features one would expect from the Windows version of TF2.
The game with cache the Vulkan shaders if you pick "Play TF2" instead of "Launch with OpenGL". It seems to actually cache the shaders (cached shaders went from 0 MB on fresh install of Steam to ~387 MB, no other games installed), but trying to run the game in this way causes my system to black screen and become unusable. Would love to use Vulkan instead but OpenGL is stable at least and provides decently smooth framerates (250 FPS average).
Everything works as expected, straight out of the (orange) box.

The prior issues with Vulkan shaders has now been fixed. No longer need to run the game using OpenGL (the game will use Vulkan by default when you press "PLAY". Additionally, any mods the you installed for Windows will also work on Linux. Install them the same way, but be sure to rename have the folders named with only lowercase letters and underscore ('_'). You will also have to change any files that depend on those folder names within the mod, but they work flawlessly otherwise.
