Occasional stuttering. Practically native.
Occasional stuttering not present on Windows. Greatly lessened by recompiling the vulkan shader cache after each update (the first compilation is the longest).

Without the launch option, tooltip names will be missing and there will be frequent white screens in the creation menu that disappear upon selecting another minion.
If using CachyOS, switch to default Proton 9.0-4 instead of proton-cachyos (fixes missing text).
No issues on Default Proton.

Also, you have to click the game window to focus it before it will accept input. This gets annoying when switching between the game and a web browser. Fix this by using gamescope (and change the 2560 & 1440 in my example to whatever's your resolution).
Serious stuttering after ~20 minutes of play. Fix by adding LD_PRELOAD="" to the launch options. This fully disables the steam overlay; unchecking the overlay in the game options will not work.
