Uses kernel-level anti-cheat software. Trying run under Linux is just waste of time.
Based on current information, Battlefield V does not work properly on Linux systems for the following reasons: The game uses kernel-level anti-cheat software that is not supported on Linux. The official Lutris website explicitly warns against trying to run this game on Linux unless you want to waste time. Kernel-level anti-cheat systems rely on Windows and do not function through the Wine compatibility layer.
Need to install protontrick (use Google or else), don't forget to make an alias (read protontrick's manual). Better when you start it with "protontrick --gui" command. After you selected Fallout 4 game, run winecfg, then select "Emulate virtual desktop". You can set your screen resolution up. No need more options for run. Without these options I couldn't run Fallout 4 'cos I just got a blank screen after start the game.
I just disabled Steam Overlay in General in Properties, General Menu.
MESA_VK_DEVICE_SELECT_FORCE_DEFAULT_DEVICE=1 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 %command%
At lower resulution returning from an other application, the fullscreen turning to a borderless windowed mode.
max. FPS at 1920 (HD) is 25-25 / sec.
Well, I have 2 GPU-s (a AMD Ryzen 7 5700G and an NVIDIA Ti1050) using these individually FPS is only 25-27/s, but with a small trick I could force a bit more: 37-40 FPS. Trick is: my NVIDIA's number is 0, my AMD is the 1 in my system. I forced the AMD as default but I forced using NVIDIA drivers too, that's why my command is: MESA_VK_DEVICE_SELECT_FORCE_DEFAULT_DEVICE=1 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 %command% Otherwise no need any config.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Everywhere all around there are big white circles on walls, players etc. Very disturbing.
I tried Proton7.06, 8.04, GE8.22. All version works with PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% option.
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=90 %command%
must to turned to slower resolutuion
