Runs perfectly
The games runs perfectly (graphics, sound, and keyboard control) - no tinkering needed. Ubuntu 22.04, Nvidia graphics with proprietary driver.
No longer runs
The game no longer runs. I just see a black screen. It had been running perfectly and I have completed nine of the chapters. I suspect that a recent update to my Ubuntu 22.04 system has broken this game. Other games still play.
Game is working once more
This is my 3rd report. In the first report, the game worked well. In the second report, the game didn't run. In this report, the game works perfectly again. Perhaps it was the change to Ubuntu 24.04 that fixed things. I am now running Linux Mint 22 (based on Ubuntu 24.04) and hope that Carto continues to work so that I can finally finish the game.
Steam says game is running but nothing is visible
After pressing Play in Steam, Steam says the game is running but the game never appears on screen. I can press Stop in Steam to quit the game. Ubuntu 22.04, Nvidia GTX970 with Nouveau driver.
Works without problems
This is my second report. In the first, the game would not run for me. Since then, I have change the Nvidia graphics drivers from Nouveau to Nvidia driver version 535 so as to be able to run other games. Now, Cats Hidden in Jingle Jam just works.
Worked well after a wait
After launching the game, my system gave a message that "Steam was not responding". I simply waited a short time and the message went away and the game proceeded normally.
Installed and ran without issues
So far, the game has run smoothly and has just worked. It is a very good gaming experience running this game via Proton.
