Game had extreme graphical artifacts such as vertex explosions on the main menu prior to the latest nvidia driver release (570.86.16 was the exact version that fixed the issue for me). Now it works almost flawlessly, the only problem I have is some performance loss compared to windows.
EA Anti Cheat does not support Wine/Proton and Steam Deck
EA and their Anti Cheat don't support Linux and explicitly check if they are running under Proton/Wine to give you a message informing about that. I'm not even sure the game ever actually tries to run at all. It is unlikely that this and future F1 games will ever work under Linux, unless a solution to bypass the Anti Cheat and play in a sort of offline mode is found. In conclusion, if you want to play this, you'll have to use Windows, or go play any other F1 game before F1 24.
