Runs quite well without needing to fiddle with settings.
The menu and game UI are extremely buggy (sometimes totally unresponsive) when using multiple monitors. To fix it, simply turn off all monitors except one. I initially had some issues launching the game (black screen to crash), but that was fixed by installing some vulkan lib stuff (vulkan-radeon, lib32-vulkan-radeon).
Works well in native, but you need to use the public-beta version
Minor glitches with shadows when using the flashlight.
Black Mesa was extremely buggy when using both native and proton versions. Fixed it by going into properties-->betas-->selecting "public-beta".
Harsh stuttering. Also runs much worse than Windows. Instead of running everything on high/very high, I have to run things on low/normal. Even then, the stuttering and framerates are unbearable.
No problems with graphics or performance. Run's perfectly without issues or tweaks.
Runs perfectly right out the gate, except you have to close the game using the task manager.
Had to change the resolution manually in the render.cfg file. It ran somewhat well at around medium settings, but was only getting 30-40 fps.
Works much better than the last time I used it. Instead of an inconsistent 30 fps, I now get 60 fps most of the time. Still getting a small amount of stuttering, but other than that it's fine. Also, you have to fix the resolution issue by going into your render.cfg file and editing it manually.
Too much stuttering! (Quake 2021 Rerelease)
Horrible stuttering rendered the game impossible to play. The stuttering was lessened by running on low resolution but was still present.
