Taken from PCGW: Go to \Game\Localized\Video\ and delete or rename: CryTek.sfd Trailer_Crytek.sfd Trailer_CrytekC.sfd Trailer_DemoLegal.sfd Trailer_EA.sfd Trailer_Intel.sfd Trailer_NVidia.sfd Trailer_PEGI.sfd Trailer_Rating_Full.sfd Trailer_Rating_Logo.sfd These intro videos are unskippable and will take forever to finish playing. I also went ahead and cancelled the installation of Gamespy Comrade and deleted the folder from the installation folder. It's not really needed.
gamemoderun %command% -dx11
Fixed with gamemode.
Crashes occasionally after saving. Game also doesn't close properly. Have to force it closed.
GFWL does not work on Proton. Had to use the Bulletstorm .dll.
Online multiplayer not functional without GFWL. LAN does not work with the .dll either.
No longer need to manually install wmp11 as of Proton 7.0. Pre-rendered video still doesn't display properly on 7.0 but it does with GE-Proton7-9

I had a segment of the screen turn black. This happened when activating the first data post, and covered an area where some effect was supposed to be happening. I have not gone far enough to activate anymore data posts, so I don't know if this was a fluke.
Performance tanked when I moved the mouse. More below.
Performance dropped when I moved the mouse. Proton GE fixed this but that broke when I tried to record with OBS. Proton 6.3-4 with gamemode fixed the issue except for one instance where, in PVP, performance started to tank again. This may have been due to an issue with OBS, but it got fixed after a restart. I did not have any other issues with OBS.
My launch options: gamemoderun %command% -nostartupmovies
The game works very well after the tweaks. I haven't tried multiplayer since no one plays it.
Audio desync in cutscenes. This is normal, however, since some of the game's logic is tied to framerate.
Moving the mouse caused performance to tank. Feral Gamemode fixed this.
ProtonDB has Feral Gamemode listed in their help section. Capping your FPS isn't necessary since nothing gamebreaking happens at high FPS, but it does help with the presentation since some scripted sequences won't work properly among other issues. Here are the launch options I use: strangle -v 0 62 gamemoderun %command%
Audio occasionally cuts out for up to 4 seconds
Some of the outdoor areas of Ep. 5 ran poorly. Medium shadows brought perfomance back up
Ran with no issues out of the box.
Game does not currently support mouse input officially.

FPS occasionally tanks for a few seconds when the main menu comes up.
While using Proton, the game would randomly lose focus while using multiple monitors. Turning off my second monitor would fix this. Native did not have this problem at all with multiple monitors.
Official master server was shut down. You will need to use OpenSpy. Enter this into the console(~) and restart the game: set IpDrv.MasterServerLink MasterServerList ((Address="utmaster.openspy.net",Port=28902))
Use Luxtorpeda to install the native version of the game. It also provides a widescreen fix option. Proton was unplayable for me with my preferred setup.
Used various combinations of Proton versions including disabling Esync and Fsync, as well as Wine D3D. Performance problems all around.
FPS constantly dropping down to the 30s and 40s.
