Once windows script host is ran, the game runs just like on windows without issue. I don't believe anyone would have an issue once setup.
Used Lutris and changed game runner from Steam to Windows; and Selected the exe from the steam directory. Opened bash terminal with the arrow next to the platform beneath the game title on Lutris.
In Bash Terminal, type winetricks wsh57 and hit enter. Sources below.

Without tinkering, the game crashes on the first map around the second turn every time on 7.0-3, GE, and Experimental from what I've seen. Until someone manages to get this to happen automatically with Proton, it will require a bit of tinkering one time and you're good.

using a mouse can crash the game on win and linux sometimes. a 159 null error will appear
works great. be weary of mouse crashing the game every blue moonx. there is an ini file for extra options too if you want to edit more outside steam input
Runs great now with the Current Proton 8.0! No more windows script host errors/crashing everywhere.

Regardless of OS platform, the mouse may induce an input error that crashes the game. Recommend using keyboard only or pad to be safe
Make sure to check the ini. file for other config options. Steam page has more details. This game is an SRPG studio game that is free if you play in Japanese or $20 for the translated version on Steam.
