Native is borked, using Proton seems to make it more a little more stable
Installs:Yes
Opens:Yes
Starts Play:No
The game launches, albeit very lagged. Going into the settings menu and trying to start a match crashes the game. Steam then proceeds to download 2GB of something for the game every time it crashes. Further attempts yield same results. Launching the game using Proton seems to make it more stable and playable, but doesn't recognize any audio output devices, therefore making the game mute.

DX9 instead of DX11
DX11 had black unit models on the Daimyo selection screen, and crashed upon starting the game. DX9 worked without hitch, and I was able to fully play a campaign start to finish.
