Could be worse, but it's certainly a silver for the obt2. Hopefully the full release runs considerably better, albeit it's unlikely

Particles can fizzle in weird ways at times even with dynamic particles set to off, textures at anything below highest look really bad, and during beta monsters can rarely become low polygon, but all of them aren't linux specific issues.
It runs pretty badly overall (about 50 fps in the heavier parts with my setup with no upscaling at 1080p (because of the FSR bug)), but that's not a linux specific issue. Also obt2 still has a blackscreen issue when FSR is enabled at anything below DLAA level. Even with low framerates + no reflex the game is still acceptably responsive during combat.
Use proton GE or it'll crash (in my case with cosmic it brings the whole DE down with it), not even proton bleeding edge worked.
Sometimes i've had "Communication error EA_19e15" which booted me to menu and made me unable to launch saves, but apart from that it seemed to work without issues.
Installed Melonloader and finished the rest of the installation with Melmel's settings, not sure if the game gets past the tutorial without those
The game's audio is full ps2 compressed, install a mod to make it listenable. Not a linux issue.
Game is locked at 30 fps, install a mod to fix that too. Not a linux issue either tho.
FMV cutscenes will display a TV colour bar image if running with proton experimental, and the game freeze at the start of the cutscene at the end of normal tokyo if running normal proton, not sure if the others would work without it, but i doubt.
Wasn't able to make the FMV cutscenes work even with mods to replace them, most of them are transitions between not-prerendered actual cutscenes, like in the labyrinth of amala, but consider watching the few real prerendered cutscenes on youtube
