Works great out of the box
Runs great natively. Proton is not required on Debian 11 GNU/Linux.
Game doesn't start, just get an error message with Mono.
I played the free Java-based beta version on Linux years ago. Never had any problems. Unfortunately, the Steam version I bought doesn't work on Linux. I've tried every Proton version, including Proton GE. Nothing worked. Even "PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%" made no difference. Sometimes I get an error message saying that Mono should be installed, but when I click on Install, it doesn't work. Don't buy the game if you use Linux, save yourself the frustration. It's a real shame, I'm returning the game.

With the start parameter "PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%" it works perfectly. Completed the entire game without any problems!
Runs great, no problems at all!
Over 24 hours of gameplay and no issues encountered. Runs smoothly on Linux.
The native Linux version only showed a black screen instead of the intro sequence when starting. I also had problems calling up the menu via ESC in the game. This problem does not occur under Proton.
