Game does not require GE Proton for me. Worked with Steam default, but protontricks was needed.
Installed winetricks from pacman; installed vdf via pip; installed protontricks via AUR. Then: 'protontricks 359320 -q dotnet472'

There were no reports with Proton-5.0-GE-1 so I decided to test it after discovering that Steam's Proton 5.0-1 does not work with the "new" (AKA "not deprecated", AKA BROWSER=2) launcher. GE builds still work, as reported previously.
NGU is my favorite idler; works almost perfectly.
Game's UI goes unresponsive after several hours (like, 6+) of inactivity, sometimes. After a restart, I can see that it was still running because the time since last save will be tiny. I just kill it from a terminal window and restart. No progress lost, which is the important thing in a game like this.
You'll need the Steam overlay enabled to buy things in the store.
Game basically works perfectly out of the box. It's a visual novel, so it's not exactly hardware intensive. Nice.
