It runs great (~60fps@High) but requires bleeding edge GPU & Vulkan drivers with support for the VK_EXT_full_screen_exclusive extension.
If the game's window ever loses focus for whatever reason (e.g. by alt+tabbing, taking a screenshot, et al.) graphics go fubar and the game needs to be forcefully killed and restarted.
Played up to the first checkpoint and experienced no issues. Graphics were set to the "High" preset. Regarding the problem with the game running too fast or too slow depending on the game's fps, it's easily solvable by setting the monitor's refresh rate to 60Hz so the game is artificially capped at 60fps. This is not an issue of Proton/Wine or Linux but an issue of the game itself, as this problem manifests on Windows as well, so as far as gaming on Linux is concerned this game runs flawlessly.

When switching out and then back into the game, it doesn't properly reclaim the whole screen (e.g. in my case KDE's bottom panel still shows) and also as a result mouse coordinates are off. This can be fixed by going to the Display settings and reapplying the window mode (either Fullscreen or Borderless Window).
Fonts are ugly as hell, though I suppose still legible enough for the game to be played. This can be partially fixed by launching the game with a FREETYPE_PROPERTIES="truetype:interpreter-version=35" environment variable. It won't make the fonts pretty, far from it, but it will make them less ugly. I really hope this bug will be fixed properly at some point but seeing as the devs haven't already fixed it in the new Reforced edition (which is otherwise very good, so kudos to them) I wouldn't hold my breath.
