Launching the game from Steam with Proton resulted in a brown box with a smaller black box in one corner. This is an issue with Proton on desktop, maybe specific to my setup? Running on Wayland. Launch the game directly with wine and it runs perfectly:

cd ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Without\ a\ Dawn/; wine withoutadawn.exe
