No issues to report.
CS2 loads and runs natively out of the box - Don't use Proton, not needed!
So far I've had no loading issues which were present on the CS-GO.
CS2 has a lot of features missing from the original CS-GO like team deathmatch. Hopefully future updates will correct this with the new version.

No game sound. With Debian 12, Proton 8.0 had to be added to get sound working.
Using Ubuntu 23.04 on the another PC but same spec, no tinkering was required.
