If running desktop with better input support, maybe. Not with swaym (xwayland). Experience is degraded on i3 due to input stuttering.
Weird stuttering on attack under xorg via i3
When launched via xwayland on swaywm, the mouse is not visible. It may not even work. I tried to brute force my way into clicking UI artifacts on menus, but that failed. During gameplay, there was also no mouse on xwayland. On xorg via i3, the mouse is super stutter and my system mouse icon would become super imposed over the in game mouse icon.
When using xorg via i3 (mouse doesn't show up work on xwayland via sway with steam launched via xwayland), the mouse is super stuttery. When attacking there is really weird stuttering and repositioning.
Startup was hit and miss on xwayland via swaywm. It didn't boot 3/4 of the time. Worked on xorg via i3wm but I didn't try too many times.
