Occasionally and seemingly randomly it was almost impossible to select items in the inventory with the mouse. The UI would simply not respond to clicks on items.
The benchmark results were very similar to Windows on DX11.

Completed the game with a friend on Windows without issues. I used keyboard and mouse but my xbox controller was recognised and working. The EA app did hang twice when starting the game but simply clicking STOP in steam and then restarting it always worked on the second attempt.
Spot on.
I plugged in a Radiomaster Pocket and calibrated it in game. Worked as expected without messing any need to mess about.

OpanAL must be either selected in the menu or set as a lauch option for audio to work.
Some flickering in game when on Vulkan. Switching to DX11 in the game menu fixed this.
I completed the campaign in co-op with a friend on Windows. Performance wise he was having a similar experience to me. The game dose not appear to be overly well optimised in general.
Clicking menu items was quite difficult but possible. This issue disappeared when I tried the (not recommended) DX11 launch option.
This performs poorly on windows 10 as well. If you want 4k native at high settings a 4090 won't really cut it.
The big take away for me was that this game recognised my Radiomaster Pocket over USB though Proton. Sofar this only worked on native FPV sims like Lift Off for me. When runing a sim with Proton I was only ever able to map the radio with steam input and that seems to unfortunately add latency. DCL is a good exmple of this still not working. I'm not sure what black magic makes this game able to recognise my radio, but I kind of like it. ;)

Trying to start without ... -noborder -windowed ... left me with a minimized window that only showed a back screen.
The EA app requires IPv6 to be enabled on your system and disappears without error or feedback if it is disabled. This closes the game without giving any clue as to why.
This might not be news to you .... but ... THE EA APP REQUIRES IPv6!
I acquired this game on steam a few years ago with the intention of replaying it. Every now and again I would try to launch it but found it just wouldn't start. Then after a few years and seeing that it seems to work for most users on here I finally looked into it and found that the EA app absolutely requires IPv6 to be enabled. I had this disabled in grub. A error message indicating a network problem would have been very helpful.
