Black screen for a second and then crash. Older versions such as 6.3 and 5.13 didn't worked out for me

Classic 2D Worms with very high skill-ceiling and great gameplay. Good choise for casual and hardcore players alike.
Game goesin small windowed mode in main menu. That's okay. In game itself you will get full res fullscreenmode.

If you have problems with launching it with recent versions of Proton, try 4.11-13. In case if you want to just this game run on older version of Proton go to Properties > Compatibility > Check "Force the use of a specific Steam Play Compatibility Tool" > choose Proton 4.11-13. 7.0-4 didn't worked for me.
If your game lags - lower video settings in config window, that pops before you launch the game inself. Lowering shadow resolution and disabling hardware anti-aliasing worked for me.
Works great, not additional tinkering necessary, just used newest realease of Proton (7.0-4).
