Needs some tweaks, however, my case is a niche case because I play on 4:3 stretch and somewhat competitively.
-fullscreen -sw -w 2560 -h 1440 -freq 144 -nojoy -sdlaudiodriver pulse
Need the following flag on Fedora. Annoying to need this, but works otherwise.

Need the following flags otherwise the game would not go FS properly. Need to start the game windowed and then manually go FS. Also, when playing 4:3 stretched, the game doesn't revert your resolution when you quit the game. Both quirks are quite annoying.
-fullscreen -sw -w 1280 -h 960
Worth noting that performance suffers slightly vs Windows.
Windows offers a much better experience, however the Linux version is passable. It seems like Valve has left the Linux build as a second thought. I think they just leave us to figure it out on our own because they expect us to be stronger users.
Quite a poor experience when playing 4:3 stretch on Fedora. But I think it could be much easier as an Ubuntu user.
Honestly feels very good, however, I've played ~13hrs of MyCareer. Regular offline matches work well too.
Honestly feels very good, however, I've only played ~13hrs of MyCareer. Regular offline matches work well too. It played very nicely 1440p 144hz on my main rig, but I also hooked it up to my 4k TV with my laptop running Fedora 34 Ryzen 7 5700U, 16GB RAM, GTX 1650 4GB and it ran pretty nicely. The 'Get VC' screen loads up just fine, so I don't presume there'd be any issues if you actually tried to buy some. Also, if you plan on using an Xbox One controller, you might need to do a very easy workaround to connect with bluetooth (it works flawlessly). on Fedora, just run
echo 1 > /sys/module/bluetooth/parameters/disable_ertm
on Ubuntu/Mint, watch Son of a Tech's video on YT to connect an Xbox controller to Ubuntu.
When alt tabbing back into the game, you'll have to spam it quite a few times before it actually engages (don't press the panel icon, cuz the top of the game might be cut off, instead use alt+tab)
MANGOHUD=1 %command%
Didn't have to do anything. Runs flawlessly on a 6750 XT with Flatpak version of steam.
