Use x86-64 - Chromium + 64-bit binaries version from the beta participation selection in the game properties. To launch the 64-bit version I had to manually copy libraries libEGL.so and libGLESv2.so (from /usr/lib64/
) into /GarrysMod/bin/linux64/
, otherwise it wouldn't launch (32-bit worked fine without this). Source
I had to use -sdlaudiodriver pipewire
as launch argument because it wasn't using pipewire for some reason
In my opinion this is the easiest way to make it run flawlessly if you struggle to play natively
Runs fine
Expected better performance, but it is not a problem on lower graphics settings
On older hardware a couple lag spikes can ocurr after loading a map but it's able to double FPS compared to Windows.
Runs flawlessly without tinkering, better than Windows in most cases.
