Crashes at any store
No tweaks or alternative proton installs worked to get this game launched. However, the buffalo SNES gamepad works well!
Runs great in proton but not in native mode
Proton 5 didn't work but specifying proton 4 worked like a charm. Works much better than the native launcher and also allows for multiplayer games with people running Windows (the game is not cross platform).
Game runs out of the box.
Using Feral Gamemode I get stable fps between 38-45 on max settings. Without gamemode FPS is more variable between 30-40. I believe this is due to CPU governor settings in Ubuntu.
Too many crashes and savepoints are too far apart. Having to re-do things constantly takes the fun away.
Crashes about once an hour. Crashes don't seem related to anything specific. I have gotten them at screen transitions, walking, opening a chest, etc. The game autosaves but not enough for the number of crashes.
Games launches and runs but has stuttering issues with my configuration.
Stuttering on screen scrolling. Fairly significant spikes leading to high lag and input delay. Basically unplayable.
RADV_PERFTEST=aco %command%
Set RADV_PERFTEST=aco %command% or the game slows to a crawl. No need for wine d3d11 with newest proton. Previous to the RC2 the game crashes frequently.
Used no esync as others suggested to avoid frequent crashes. Worked better but doesn't solve all the crashing issues.
Feral Gamemode
Graphical glitches. Structures that are destroyed have bits that don't fully destroy. Camera would sometimes get locked behind the ship rather than overhead.
Resizing the screen or moving the screen while windowed requires restart as the boundaries of the screen are incorrect.
Input lag. Especially in menus.
Frequent crashes during cut scenes.
