Launcher opens successfuly, Game itself fails to load.

Tried multiple options mentioned on ProtonDb, with/without proton tricks, with and without the launch options mentioned. also tried multiple versions of Proton, (Experimental, 8.0-5 and 6.3-8)
I can reliably make it into the launcher, however the game simply refuses to launch past that.
I tried the suggestion to try and run the game directly from the .exe using Wine Terminal, and I get the following error:

As it stands doesnt look like this is playable at the moment, might have to spin up a Windows 10 VM as a backup.
It is an older game, so curb your expectations as far as UI design goes. If you can do that, the game runs as you would expect it to.

Hit and miss when it comes to setup. I simply could not get this game to run at all through steam, it wasnt until I tried with Lutris and got access to Lutris's Log's that I realized that my Linux box was trying to use the Nouveau drivers instead of the Mesa drivers that are installed, Steam game me no such way to easily diagnose that.
So for Steam, I would say if you are lucky, then maybe it will be an effortless install, or if you are like me you will waste hours trying to get steam to work, trying every version of proton available including GE.
but, if at first it doesnt succeed, see if you can find logs, and confirm if it is using the correct Graphics Drivers for your system, because in my case it wasnt
Simply cannot launch, which means I cannot install through launcher
Tried Multiple versions of Proton (Experimental, 5.0, 7.0, 8.0) I do have Winetricks installed. Simply doesnt launch.
Running Plasma KDE 6 with Wayland... I am guessing that may be related.
